How Can You Win the Commuter Challenge?

Everyone can participate and compete as an individual. You can also choose to participate on a team or as part of your organization/workplace. There are three ways to win recognition:

Workplace
Workplaces compete for the highest participation rate in their division. (The participation rate is the percentage of employees taking part in the challenge as compared to the total number of employees in the workplace)

Divisions:

  • 2-10 Employees
  • 11-25 Employees
  • 26-50 Employees
  • 51-100 Employees
  • 101-499 Employees
  • 500+ Employees

Teams/Groups/Organizations
Every team member tracks all of the miles from their qualifying commutes each day. The team with the most miles logged on the site at the end of the week is the winner. Divisions for teams, groups, and organizations are the same as those for workplaces.

Individuals
Individuals can win by logging the most miles traveled using alternative modes of transportation.

Winners in their categories will receive a plaque (made of sustainable materials) recognizing their achievement. All participants who log at least one sustainable commute during the Challenge will be entered into a drawing to win a $200 Visa gift card.
