What is a Commuter Challenge?
A Commuter Challenge is a fun, free, friendly competition among organizations (workplaces, groups and teams) and indviduals to commute sustainably. Everything counts, except driving alone. During the ISU Registered Student Organization Challenge April 16-22, 2012 or the community wide Commuter Challnge May 12-18, 2012, participants bike, bus, walk, skate or carpool to their destinations and log those commutes. Organizations with the highest percentage of participation will win and earn recognition. Groups, teams and individuals win by racking up the most miles.
Here's how it works
Sign up to participate in a Challenge by creating a user account. The first person from your organization to sign up will enter in the information about your organization. Once your organization is signed up, anyone from your organization who wants to participate in the Challenge just needs to select that organization when they register for the Challenge.
During the week of your challenge, try to get as many people in your organization as possible to try busing, biking, walking, carpooling, telecommuting, etc. to work. Groups, teams and individuals may also compete in the challenge.
